  • AALL Educational Scholarships

    Eligibility: There are six levels of awards: 1. Library Degree for Law School Graduates, awarded to a law school graduate with law library experience pursuing a degree at an accredited library school. 2. Library School Graduates Attending Law School, awarded to a library school graduate pursuing a degree at an accredited law school who has law library experience and no more than 36 semester credit hours left before obtaining the law degree. 3. Library Degree for Non-Law School Graduates, awarded to a college graduate with law library experience who is seeking a degree involving law librarianship courses at an accredited library school. 4. Library School Graduates Seeking A Non-Law Degree, awarded to library school graduates who are seeking degrees in fields other than law. 5. Law Librarians in Continuing Education Courses, awarded to law librarians with a degree from an accredited library or law school who are continuing their education. 6. Dual JD/MLIS Degree, awarded to college graduates working toward a dual degree in an accredited law school and library school. Preference is given to AALL members, but a non-member can apply. All applicants must intend to have careers as law librarians. There must be financial need for awards 1-4.

  • American Bar Association Law Day Art Contest
    Deadline: April 14

    Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. They must be rising undergraduate seniors who have at least one more semester (or two more quarters) of coursework remaining before graduation. They must be interested in law and public service careers and must have a demonstrated interest in policy issues that affect underserved populations. They must have overcome obstacles in their pursuit of higher education. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
